Description：
The course introduces the
history of Chinese philosophy from the Pre-Qin period to the Two Han
dynasties (from the 8th century BCE to the 3rd century CE). Topics include:
Pre-Qin Confucianism, Pre-Qin Daoism, the Mohist school, the Legalist school,
the Two Hans Confucianism.
Advisory to Majors (4-year
curriculum): to be taken in year 2.

Outcome：
1. Demonstrate
familiarity with the major ideas and theories of the philosophers and the
philosophical schools covered in the course.
2. Acquire
skills in textual study, philosophical thinking and writing.
