Description：
This course examines the
special characteristics of Chinese culture in relation to the obstacles and
the problems it has been facing in the process of modernization, and attempts
to search for a direction for its future development.
Learning
Outcome：
1. Identify the
main characteristics of traditional Chinese culture.
2. Identify the
basic issues underlying modernization.
3. Formulate
the difficulties encountered by Chinese culture in the process of its
modernization.
4. Discuss and
relate Chinese culture’s contribution to reflections on contemporary cultural
