CUSIS科目資料	Description： This course introduces the various approaches (such as philosophical, sociological, anthropological, psychological) to the study of religion, and attempts to show how, by utilizing the fruits and methods of these approaches, the history of religions can become the discipline which has religion itself as a proper object of study. This course then focuses on the study of the chief elements of religious beliefs and practices. These will include the phenomenon of religious experiences, myths, symbols, rituals, prayer and beliefs. Learning Outcome： Knowledge outcomes 1.To become familiar with the basic vocabulary of the field of religious studies. 2.To develop an understanding of the theories of religion 3.To develop an understanding of the key issues in the study of religion. 4.To be able to reflect on the relationship between religion and the human condition. 5.To be able to engage in a critical analysis of religious phenomena by the key approaches, taking into account of the key issues involved. Attitude outcomes 1.To develop a critical yet sympathetic attitude in understanding religious phenomena. 2.To develop a sensitivity to religious dimension of human life.
