CUSIS科目資料	Description： This course is aimed to train students with capacity in various aspects of local plants, including knowledge of plant taxonomy, skills of field studies, knowledge transfer of botany and career development. This course consists of lectures, field trips and independent projects.   Every enrolled student is required to work on an independent project which includes essay and presentation. Marking scheme of the project essay include five scopes: 1. Definition / history / background; 2. Reviews on the current problem; 3. Suggested solutions or methodology; 4. Conclusion and prospective; 5. References. Each chapter should be supplemented with photographs, figures and tables. At the course end, each student is also required to present his / her project with PowerPoint.   Learning Outcome： Students will learn how to:  - Identify common plant species in Hong Kong  - Identify the local vegetation types  - Understand the concept of plant nomenclature and the e-learning platforms of botanical database  - Acquire the identification skills of plants  - Understand and integrate botanical knowledge in career development
