評價教學內容	#1 平時鼓勵我地喺課堂上朗讀英文，有個輕鬆嘅小組present教我地搵出短文章裡面嘅精要。篇paper好似自己做緊fyp咁，base on而家嘅發現，寫篇論文推進研究。

CUSIS科目資料	Description： This course is designed to enhance the English communication of the second year students in the Faculty of Science with a focus on science research writing. Learning topics include writing research proposals, literature reviews, abstracts, academic presentation skills and writing interim and final lab reports. Coursework consists of writing a research proposal, interim and final lab reports, an abstract, a literature review and an academic presentation. Advisory: For Year 2 students of Faculty of Science only.  Learning Outcome： By the end of this course, students will be able to:  1. write a research proposal; 2. conduct literature search and write literature reviews;  3. apply lab report writing skills; 4. write abstracts for research study; and  5. give an academic presentation.

CUSIS科目資料	Description： This course aims to lay the comprehensive English language foundation needed for university studies by engaging students in multi-modal learning activities. Learning topics include independent learning, critical listening and discussion, critical reading and response, features of spoken English, and expository writing. Coursework consists of group discussion, critical listening and reading, expository essay writing, and individual presentation tasks. This course is compulsory for first-year students, except those who have attained HKDSE English level 5 or above or its equivalence. This course is a prerequisite for Level Two and Three courses. Learning Outcome： By the end of this course students will be able to:  1. reflect on how to become an independent language learner;  2. give personal accounts that express thoughts and opinions about specific topics, describe experiences, feelings and events with sufficient details;  3. recognise features of spoken English;  4. obtain general and specific information from authentic spoken texts;  5. identify and interpret the speaker's main message and attitude;  6. employ appropriate strategies to address an issue in a group discussion setting;  7. understand, evaluate and respond critically to information in persuasive texts;  8. identify common features of academic texts;  9. write a coherent expository text showing a degree of grammatical accuracy, lexical range, and syntactic variety and complexity; and  10. avoid plagiarism by using appropriate writing strategies.
