Description：
This course is an introduction to the
basic concepts and theories in contemporary linguistics. Through a systematic
examination of modern Chinese, the course will help students understand
grammatical rules essential to the language, learn how to analyze Chinese
grammar, improve their competence in using the language, and lay a good
foundation for their future endeavors in linguistic studies.
Learning Outcome：
- 對中國語言文字、古代文獻有基本的了解；
- 能夠運用資訊科技（如資料庫、論文庫、古籍數據庫）輔助學習；
- 能夠準確、流暢地運用中文來表達思想和感受；
- 在學習中運用批判思考能力；
- 在學習、導修與功課上表現一定的創意；
- 對日常生活中的語言或文學問題感到興趣並了解其價值。
