CUSIS科目資料	Description： This course deals with the fundamentals of statistical methods, including descriptive statistics, probability, statistical inference, simple linear regression and basic ANOVA. Application of statistical methods to problems pertaining to business will be emphasized throughout this course.   Learning Outcome： After completing this course, students should be able to: (1) Understand and use the basic language and tools of statistics: knowing what statistical terms mean, understanding the use of statistical symbols, and recognizing and being able to interpret representations of data; (2) Master several important distributions, including normal distribution; (3) Recognize how, when, and why existing inferential tools can be used, including simple linear regression and basic ANOVA; (4) Understand the context of a business problem, and to apply statistics analysis to solve the problem and to draw conclusions; (5) Have working knowledge of Excel or other statistic software in terms of basic data analysis tasks.
