CUSIS科目資料	Description： This course provides an introduction to the modern econometric techniques used in financial time series. Economic theory and statistical analysis are used to formulate and test financial models. Applications include the statistical characteristics and forecasting of stock prices, derivatives, interest rates and exchange rates.   Learning Outcome： After taking this course, students are able to  1. Analyze financial data by using mainstream technical analysis techniques.  2. Apply modern econometric models in financial time series.  3. Evaluate the performance of different technical trading rules in different markets.  4. Write an academic report on technical analysis.

評價教學內容	#1 Despite that the course is starting with ECON, it got nothing to relate with Economics. This class is designed for Econ major students, to learn more things outside of Economics. This course involve one mock interview(group) with theme of internship or scholarship, and one group project with presentation (ours is to analysis the impact of AI on the industry selected by us), the workload of it is defined by how many freeriders you got.

CUSIS科目資料	Description： This course is designed for economic majors in their first year of study. The principal aim is to help students plan their curricula, including the academic and experiential components. It comprises three parts: 1. Lectures that introduce the structure of the programme (outcome statement, study pattern of required and elective courses, concentration areas), experiential learning opportunities (mentorship and internship programmes), and exchange opportunities (choice of host institutions and transfer of credits). Senior students may also be asked to share their experiences in mentorship, internship, and exchange. 2. Workshops on academic writing with emphasis on academic honesty. Topics include plagiarism, proper use of source materials, and citation styles. Each student will be asked to write and submit a summary of a collection of articles on a current topic in economics. Feedbacks will be given in a timely manner so that students can correct their errors and resubmit their work. A series of revisions and submissions will finally lead to academically acceptable articles – writings with clear logic, proper use of source materials, and proper citation style. 3. Sessions on presentation skills and interview skills. These include in-class debate sessions, group interview practices and cover-letter workshops.   Learning Outcome： Upon completing this course, the student will be able to:  1. understand the rationale and structure of the economics programme, 2. plan a curriculum that best suits his/her interest, 3. write economic articles of acceptable academic style, 4. find economic data and articles,  5. critique current issues from the economic perspective, 6. present themselves in a professional manner.

評價教學內容	#1 weekly homework(easy for me), IS-LM and Economic growth model need some time to understand but overall ok. However, his exam is unbelievably hard(please refer to past paper)
評價教員教學	#1 You can tell this guy is really like economics from his teaching style, learning things from his lecture isn't hard. However he is harsh in some way, if you turn in his homework late(even for one second) you will got a zero (it is a serious penalty since once you have more than 50% correct in his homework you can gain a full mark for that homework, meaning most of the people gets full mark and you get a zero if you miss the homework)
CUSIS科目資料	Description： This course covers basic concepts in macroeconomic theory. Major topics include: national income accounting, consumption and investment theories, demand and supply of money, unemployment and inflation, fiscal and monetary policies, balance of payments and exchange rate systems.   Learning Outcome： 1. Learn economists’ basic tools to describe and predict the performance of the whole economy, including IS/LM model, AS/AD model, Phillips Curve, Okun’s Law, etc.  2. Understand some simple causal relationships between macroeconomic events, such as the relationship between national income, economic growth, employment, inflation, etc.  3. Understand the reasons why some macroeconomic policies can or cannot be used to deal with certain economic problems.
