Description:
This course is
designed fundamentally to provide some basic information on the social
welfare and selected social services in Hong Kong to meet the needs of the
non-Social Work Major students. The main objectives are as follows: (1) to
introduce the basic social work philosophy and values, as well as the process
of policy formulation in the field of local social welfare; (2) to examine
the historical development of local social welfare; (3) to explore the future
development of local social welfare services; and( 4) to discuss current
issues related to social welfare services.
Learning
Outcome:
Students are
expected to:
1. To examine

#1內容簡單。隨堂,基本上只係考背背得有幾熟。每個禮拜只係得兩個鐘嘅冇比起其他書通上堂時數少 #2 boring,但內容很簡單。轉了ZOOM上課,令到EXAM沒有了,變了寫2篇長文。長文題目很令人迷惑,和課上的東西好像有點距離。
但十分的輕鬆!

Description:
This course helps students understand the psychosocio-political
aspects of disability. Theoretical models ranging from medical to social
model, and practice models ranging from the therapeutic approach to the
independent living approach will be examined. The course will also address
the social construction of disability, and include discussion on
sociological-psychological concepts and critical issues relevant to service
designs in present-day social context, with a view to create an enabling
environment for persons with disabilities.
Learning Outcome:
Students will have:
- Familiarized themselves with disability-related psychological
and sociological concepts and theories in contemporary society
- Made critical appraisal of the extent to which current social
and political policies developed to meet the needs of people with
disabilities in society.
