評價教學內容	#1 extremely difficult with lots of terms in english. study together with some comm students so actually not suitable for a ug course. Really heavy workload. Tutorial take attendance every week, presentation and presentation paper, final essay, final exam (open book). Watch a lot of sex scenes and violence scenes from movies. (BUT Surprising good grade.)

This course is designed to provide students with some familiarity with and critical perspectives on media representations of violence, social conflict, sex, sexuality and gender roles. Efforts will be made to explore the potential impact of such media representations on conflicts, violence, crimes and sexual practices in the real world. Learning Outcome：         - To familiarize students with concepts which interrogate the interplay between modern media and the production, reproduction and transformation of the contemporary social order.        - To be able to understand and critique the role of the media in sustaining power and inequalities in contemporary societies.        - To sensitize students to the potential and obstacles posed by media production and consumption for social change.
