CUSIS科目資料	Description： This course is designed to examine human life issues through movie watching. A social work perspective and a humanistic outlook of life will be adopted to view human lives at individual, family and society levels. Students are expected to develop an awareness and a sense of concern for people and the society. Movies related to social work values, such as people's capacity for change, respect for human worth and dignity, and social justice will be reviewed and discussed. Social issues, such as discrimination, mental illness and issue of oppression will also be covered. Learning Outcome： Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: 1. Critically review and discuss on different social and life issues which are relevant to themselves and others as human beings; 2. Apply social work perspectives and values in analysing different social phenomena and life issues through film media; 3. Develop their point of views towards different issues with critical mind; and 4. Show care and concern towards the well-being of people in need.
