#1 內容包括幾個大學數學topic:basic ODE/PDE, 少少vector calculus(不過用tensor form),Fourier transform, m2 basic matrix 同math1010少少basic calculus concept, 不過最難都係tensor(vec cal唔知點解唔跟math2530/phys2051咁教) 建議數學/物理系可以過嚟刷grade, 嗰度啲人全部冇m2底math1010/1520連B range 都冇,大把人mid term肥哂 利申:1010得B+ mid term+final 都可以全班第一 |

Description: The course
provides a survey of elementary analytical quantitative and qualitative
methods commonly used in earth and environmental sciences, with applications
in geophysics, geophysical/environmental fluid dynamics, as well as related
aspects in thermodynamics and wave physics. Teaching aided by numerical
programming is adopted and emphasized, in addition to analytical
understanding of these methods. Typical examples include heat conduction on
earth surface, seismic and ocean waves, air pollution, geodynamics, and
atmospheric dynamics. Learning
Outcome: 1.
An
understanding of elementary quantitative methods used in earth and
environmental sciences. 2.
Appreciation
of how physical principles in earth and environmental sciences are formulated
quantitatively, 3.
Knowledge
of the application of elementary methods in solving problems in earth and
environmental sciences. |
